Our CEO

Veronica is a licensed professional counselor in Washington, D.C., trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy. She holds two masters degrees. One in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Regent University. The second in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of North Carolina.

Her journey to life coaching began in psychological research, where she specialized in studying and diagnosing suicidality, depression, and trauma in children and youth in the USA, Guyana, and South Africa. It was clear that the children experiencing stress, neglect, and abuse, were growing up to be adults struggling to cope with the same things. Seeing the long term effects of trauma on the person, made her want to better understand how to treat and heal and not just diagnose.

Veronica transitioned into counseling in 2021, and in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, she found her calling. Today Veronica specializes in work with childhood trauma, sexual abuse, complex grief, disruptive family relationships/attachments, spousal abuse/divorce, racial and cultural trauma, church hurt, and spiritual abuse.

Company Values

The 5 principles of Mindful Coaching & Counseling

  • We believe in learning because when we learn, we grow. Growth is the goal. Therefore we cultivate lifelong learners.

  • We believe every person shows up as their whole self. No person is devoid of a history and personal context. So whenever possible, our coaching reflects and celebrates these stories. All we ask is that you show up as you.

  • Compassion is a complex word, encompassing the principles of mercy, hope, faith, and love. True compassion is the acting out of mercy mixed with kindness, because we empathize with a person’s pain. At MCC, we believe self growth can only take place when a person has compassion for themselves.

  • We believe that transformation requires full transparency- because you cannot heal what you conceal.

  • Change is often scary. Yet our will and beliefs about ourselves are the very tool needed to identify and facilitate the type of changes we want to make. But real results happen when we follow up our will with our actions.
